22 SEP 2015

This weekend is The Betfair Newmarket Open Day , held at the Newmarket Racecourse with the main objectives to promote Newmarket and horseracing, to bring the Newmarket community together and to raise funds for local charities. The team at The Packhorse Inn, where many visitors will be staying and dining, has lent its support with the donation of a very generous prize for the Silent Auction:

Exclusive use of The Club Room at The Packhorse Inn for a 3 course dinner with matched wines for 8 people.*

Revitalised and reopened in October 2013, The Packhorse Inn overlooks the green in the picturesque village of Moulton just outside Newmarket. The inn was renamed to reflect the adjacent medieval bridge across the River Kennett. Inside, the local connections continue with the 4 house rooms named after the hills surrounding the village with the 4 stable block rooms reflecting local river names.  As well as its award-winning restaurant, the inn boasts The Club Room, a stylish space with direct access to the garden terrace; perfect for both partying and doing business.  The prize allows you to host your very own private dinner party with wines for 8 people. *Conditions apply: The prize is subject to the availability of The Club Room and excludes Thursdays – Saturdays throughout December and Tattersalls Sales dates

If you would like to help to raise money for the three charities that will share all the profits from this year’s event - National Horse Racing Museum (50%) MAGPAS Air Ambulance (25%) and Racing Welfare (25%) – and enjoy a private dinner in The Club Room, you don’t have to attend the weekend but can bid in the Silent Auction at
